Rock / Sport Climbing
Climbed more than 1000 sport / traditional climbing routes all over India up to grade 7B+ ( French grading ).
Climbed on various crags traditional and sport climbing crags in East coast U.S.A , France, U.K. Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Thailand , Indonesia, Japan on various climbing trips from 1988 to 2000.
Highest grade achieved sport climbing (redpointed) 7C + ( French grading ) on-sighted 7b and traditional climbing up to7B+ ( highest traditional climbing grade achieved by an Indian till date ).
International Sport Climbing Competitions
World cup; Represented the country in the UIAA World Cup competition held in Tokyo, Japan from the 16th to 21st October 1991. Ranked 50th position in difficulty competition.
Asian competition; Participated in the Asian competition held at Singapore in September 1993, Ranked 9th position difficulty competition.
Instructional Experience
Official coach to the Indian Sport Climbing team participating in the Asian Championship, held at Jakarta, Indonesia, Oct. 2000.
Chief instructor of the Sport Climbing workshop held at Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling from 6th June to 12th June 2003. For National level climbers preparing them for World Championships and Asian Championships. To be held in year 2003.
Chief coordinator of the Indo- Swedish Sport climbing workshop held at the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi. 16th to 21st April 2002.
Chief Course setter in eight National competitions, organized by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi. Since 1995.
Chief Course setter in various Open / Zonal competitions held in the country at Bangalore / Imphal / Bikaner / New Delhi.
